The GORSE Academy Trust were set to open a brand new Mathematics School, in the heart of Leeds City Centre, specialising in Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences. Looking to create brand awareness and recruit students (aged 15-16) who were high-attainers with a real aptitude for Mathematics, Leeds Mathematics School (LMas) turned to the Ark Media to create a media campaign that would target potential students (who were excited about Mathematics and belonging to a community of equally enthusiastic learners and teachers), their parents and influencers.

Objectives

 The primary objectives of the campaign were to:

-Create brand awareness, showcasing LMas' the brand new facilities, high-quality teaching, unique curriculum and enrichment opportunities

-Target potential students (aged 15-16 years), their parents and influencers who were  within a commutable distance 

Strategy and Execution

After creating a dynamic video showcasing Leeds Mathematics School's offering, we applied an insight driven approach to planning a 3-stage marketing strategy targeting prospective students, their parents and influencers who lived within a commutable distance.

 

- Phase 1 focused on reaching the 2023 target audience using audio and social media messaging across Wakefield, Bradford and Leeds

- The second phase included a brand awareness campaign across the full catchment area utilising Social Media, Spotify and radio

- Phase three focused on recruitment and brand awareness using phone kiosks, in a wide range of locations, Spotify and social Media , to reach the target audience in their everyday moments

 

 

 

Far more than a number now LMas is part of the education equation

LMas aimed to attract students to its high-quality Mathematics and Mathematical Science courses in a new state-of-the -art facility. We developed a strategic, insight driven approach to reach potential students, parents and influencers to reach maximum student recruitment. Our targeted, multli-media campaign effectively connected with the right target audience, driving recruitment with a full cohort of students enrolling for September 2023 and the next phase of their education journey.

Adverts on social media were used to target parents and students and drive recruitment, reaching 142,718 people of the right demographic in phase one.
