  • Having 5 x fully self-powered shelters in Telford, which are 100% powered by wind and solar energy and use recycled materials.

  • Working with environmental specialists, Watts Sustainability, to track their progress and offset emissions.

 

Green Bus Advertising

Over the past few years, the bus industry has made remarkable strides in sustainability, markedly with the introduction of 4,000 new zero-emission vehicles. These green buses have helped to significantly reduce the number of cars on UK roads, preventing an additional 4.8 billion car journeys annually. So, naturally, this green transport needs green advertising products, and that’s where Ark and Alight come in. We are bringing our expertise, passion, and sustainability focus to these OOH mediums to create eye-catching, revenue-driven ads for the brands and businesses we represent.

 

Eco-Friendly Bus Shelters

In addition to eco-focused OOH advertising, many city centre bus shelters across the UK have also received "Green Makeovers" and now boast vegetation roofs and solar panels, improving their overall look and having a positive, sustainable impact. One example is the WARRINGTON GREEN MILE, which comprises recycled materials, living roof shelters, and wind and solar power. And if that wasn’t enough, these will also feature a 500m grass central reservation, which will be seeded and re-wilded by funds from a Green Finance Pot provided by Alight Media.

 

Community Focussed

As a broadcast medium, advertising platforms like green bus stops provide for brands and sustainability efforts and can lead to direct change by supporting local communities. Out-of-home advertising is one of the most socially responsible formats. Alight Media is dedicated to reinvesting 50p in every pound spent on media back into the community, which is used to improve local services and infrastructure.
